Bossier City police say 3-year-old twins have died after being found unresponsive in a pickup truck outside their home on Saturday. They found Oliver and Aria Orr in the pickup a short time later and called 911.
Louisiana Police say their mother contacted neighbors Saturday to say she was looking for her children. They then found Oliver in the back of the truck.

Medical examiners have not ruled on the toddlers’ official causes of death, but preliminary results from their autopsies revealed their deaths were heat-related, Bossier City Public Information Officer Mark Natale told The Times of nearby Shreveport.
Authorities said the twins may have been in the auto for two or three hours. “Both children were unresponsive”, Natale said.
Matthews said she did not think Alisha Orr had run any errands on Saturday.
Although the children’s mother was not identified by police, their father was identified as Bossier Parish Deputy Travis Orr.
“I wonder how those kids got in that truck, but nobody knows”, Mize said.
The Orrs have another son, who is 8 years old.
Natale said there were no signs of trauma to the children and the investigation will determine how the children got into the truck. “If you’re going to leave your doors unlocked, leave the windows cracked so there is air in the vehicles”.
