The Apple Watch has arrived at Target.
As such, it makes sense for Apple to not sell the Edition model at Target, which is a shop where literally everything is available – from detergents to toiletries.
Target’s move follows the rollout of the Apple Watch at Best Buy in August. And while details are somewhat sparse at this point in time regarding the upcoming wearable, but these are the top features we wish Apple brings to the Apple Watch 2.
‘What I think we showed was that once you put normal consumers into the mix, that weighted it towards the high end of satisfaction’. We really wish the Apple Watch 2 shaves off a few millimeters, giving it a more slicker profile. It is a strategy that tracks Apple’s history with other new products, such as the iPad.
Target didn’t comment on its plans for showing the watch at its thinly staffed stores, where customers frequently are forced to search for help. They planned to expand that sales presence to 300 stores this fall. Best Buy was the first big retail chain store to start selling the Apple watch products. Sprint and T-Mobile are also selling the watch as an accessory to the new iPhones. However, it’s also possible they will still sell those bands separately. However, the iPhone is a known entity and many buyers are upgrading from previous models.
During a previous conference call with Wall Street analysts, Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly said, “Demand for Apple Watch has been so strong in the stores and online”.
