Iowa releases hype video for Penn State game

There was a moment, before all of Saquon Barkley’s joystick wizardry, when the running back silently rode a stationary bike on Penn State’s sideline.

Some Penn State fans were probably having flashbacks to an afternoon in Michigan Stadium in 2005 when Chad Henne hit Mario Manningham to down the Nittany Lions as time expired.

Penn State hasn’t visited Iowa since 2012, when Bill O’Brien was still coach, and none of the current players have ever played there. “I had a lot of fun this past year”. I’ve asked a lot of questions.

Coach James Franklin will have his team well prepared for the matchup, but in case he needs my help, here is what he and his squad needs to do to beat Iowa on the road.

Q: What TV show are you obsessed with right now? We just have been wanting to play our style of football. “We’ve got to get ready for the noise”.

The guess here is McSorley is going to be under a good bit of pressure tonight, with Iowa loading up the box to stop the run but also disguising some blitzes to force the quarterback to make quick decisions in the passing game. Earlier in the afternoon, he joined other former players in signing autographs during a session hosted by the Iowa Farm Bureau.

Franklin had some fun talking about that.

“I’m not going to make a big deal out of it with our guys”. Penn State handled Iowa 41-14 at Beaver Stadium previous year. If they are able to do the same against Iowa on Saturday and give a boost to an already electric offense, Penn State should cruise to victory. That’s not much to complain about when the offense is scoring as fast as the Nittany Lions were on Saturday.

The match against Iowa will come in the midst of a four away-game stretch for the Huskers, as they travel to Purdue, Indiana, Iowa and Northwestern in a span of nine days in October. That’s why we asked our resident experts who else we should remember. “You can see first-hand why they were the Big Ten champs a year ago”.

“That really is not a topic of conversation”.

Iowa regained the lead in the second half, when back Akrum Wadley scored from 35 yards. “I don’t know all the seniors in the country, but my guess is he would have been pretty high previous year”.

The Hawkeyes also beat No. 15 Nebraska at home a year ago, when it looked like Nebraska was a really good team. Though they won’t say it right now, they know full well that MI and Ohio State lurk later on. The Penn State running back tallied 368 all-purpose yards along with one touchdown.

Saquon Barkley stole Akrum Wadley’s thunder. “I wouldn’t say we regret (the ticket price)”. Linebacker LeVar Woods – now the tight ends coach – returned a blocked field goal attempt for a touchdown. Penn State will have more challenges to come and opportunities to prove if they deserve to be called great as the season goes on (Michigan, at Ohio State being the two most notable games to come next month.) But they proved they are capable of responding when backed up against the wall.

You don’t see many games like this.

“I’m studying health policy and administration now, and just seeing from the other perspective, the administrative perspective, some of the problems our country is facing with health care”.

“Two minutes, two timeouts, let’s get into the end zone”, Barkley said. When we last left our battle of the Megaphone Trophyians, the year was 2013 and we were all still listening to “Blurred Lines”.
