The Big Short tells the story of a group of four outsiders who saw the 2008 crash coming, and when they bet against it, they won. Not only that, but the film will see its world premiere as the closing night selection of November’s AFI Fest in Los Angeles.
The Big Short will debut in United States cinemas on December 11, and opens on January 22, 2016 in the UK.
The Big Short hits theaters on Christmas Day.
The film has Academy-Award heft, starring previous Oscar nominees Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Steve Carell, and winners Christian Bale, Melissa Leo and Oscar victor Marisa Tomei, and has just revealed itself in a new trailer, giving a deeper look at the plot.
