An elephant, named Peter, from a sanctuary in Thailand, played piano when he got a chance to perform a duet with the pianist Paul Barton. Elephant uses his trunk to push the buttons of piano.
In a talk, Mr Barton, 52, said, he was plying piano with elephants since 1996 in Thailand but this chance was very different as he played on unprepared tune with elephant. He added that Peter’s reaction in a sanctuary in the mountains near Kanchanaburi, north-east of Bangkok, was completely spontaneous.
Paul also said that while they were playing piano, another elephants who was peter’s younger neighbor, named Soi, danced to the rhythm.
