Shabbir Shah arrived in the national capital for a meeting with Pakistani National Security Advisor Sartaz Ajiz ahead of India-Pakistan NSA-level talks.

Hurriyat leaders Mirwaiz Omar Farooq and Shabbir Ahmed Shah will be participating in a banquet at the Pakistani High Commission.

On the other hand, the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Geelani, continues to remain under house arrest in Srinagar.

India almost immediately responded with another statement issued as the response to a question to the spokesperson where it said that it had expected nothing better from Pakistan.
