BlackBerry’s Android phone just can’t stop leaking

The symbolism of the imagery can not be underestimated as BlackBerry seems desperate to get its point across to its corporate clientele that its devices continue to remain as secure as they’ve always been, even as Android security continues to be hotly debated.

The first BlackBerry Android device has been leaked with a series of photos up close and personal. As we previously mentioned, the operating system is basically stock Android with several BlackBerry 10 features.

Several images that show the BlackBerry Venice fully exposed have made their way online. A new and recently leak photo of the BlackBerry Venice shows the device being actively used in public.

As it stands right now, the BlackBerry-branded Venice is a really poorly kept secret, especially with the launch of the device not rumored to happen until November.

You can see what appears to be the launcher’s app drawer open, with a quick search bar on top, followed by an apps, widgets, and shortcuts tabs directly below it. Probably our least favorite aspect of Lollipop is the new task switcher/recents menu and it appears BlackBerry felt the same way.

BlackBerryOS claimed that the device is running the Google Android Messenger app as well as few other apps that require Google Play Services. It’s going to be the first Android smartphone from the company so naturally many are curious to see what BB has been able to achieve with this. The smartphone is also said to come with an 18-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, with 3 GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 808 from Qualcomm under the hood.
