“He’s starting to heat up”. Cincinnati acquired him off waivers from the Cubs last month. “That’s a really good ballgame up there and you hang a few pitches they’ll hit the mistakes”.

Television ratings are sky high – the Jays have had more than one million viewers on Sportsnet in each of the past seven games, according to Marketing magazine, after only four in the previous 109 games this season. He is hitting. 287 overall.

Tuesday’s win came in dramatic fashion as Toronto scored against Texas closer Shawn Tolleson, who was 25-for-26 in save situations coming into the game.

The Blue Jays were quiet until the ninth, when Tolleson walked Russell Martin to open the inning, an out later walked Ben Revere, and after pinch-hitter Justin Smoak flew out for the second out, surrendered a soft flare to left field to Tulowitzki that tied it up.

MVP candidate Josh Donaldson then sent a chopper to Beltre, whose throw pulled Moreland off first base and allowed Revere to score the go-ahead run.

“I’m a pretty die-hard fan”, he said. “I think I was just rushing a little bit”. “I didn’t have time to grab it like I wanted to, but I had time to get the out”. It’s their most lopsided home loss in more than six years. Chris Colabello and Edwin Encarnacion each hit solo shots while Jose Bautista belted a two-run job.

Brett Cecil stopped a potential Texas rally in the bottom half of that inning after Liam Hendriks, pitching in front of his father, allowed two to reach. He’s been very solid all season with a 14-5 record, but his ERA is 4.29 for the campaign.
