U2 also covered Lou Reed’s ‘Satellite of Love’, after stating that Reed’s widow, musician Laurie Anderson, was also in the crowd. Bono has appeared at events for the Clinton Foundation, while Springsteen helped induct U2 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 and stepped in for Bono at a show last year when the singer was still recovering from a bicycle accident in Central Park. U2’s North American tour ends tonight (July 31) with their eighth concert at Madison Square Garden.

“Here’s what occurred: I was operating in Central Park, there was an accident, clearly I needed to cease and assist as a result of I’m not from New York, I’m from Virginia, the place individuals are good”, she stated because the viewers booed as she tried to complete the story.
