Parton, who is executive producing the project, emphasized the theme of family.
“This little story just encompasses so many things”, Parton said, as Rolling Stone reports. The song became a No. 1 single on the country charts. It is expected to air around the holidays.
“Coat of Many Colors” stars eight-year-old Aylvia Lind as a young Parton in the film based on her autobiographical track. “And she’s always been interested in telling stories from her childhood, and we just weren’t quite sure how we would get to that point unless we started at a point that would touch families…” “It’s an attitude. It’s more than a song. It had to be the first one”.
