Fantasy Football DFS: Week 3 Quarterbacks

He brings a nice floor for you, even if the upside is limited.

The schedule makers were kind enough to break fantasy football owners in easy with just two teams on bye to kick things off, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still a doozy: The New England Patriots are on vacation until Week 5, so you’ll be without stalwarts Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, LeGarrette Blount and, yes, Dion Lewis. Once you go no-kicker, you’ll never go back. Unfortunately, the opposite holds true when you completely botch a call.

So sign up and get ready for our league each week this year!

Last November the Denver Broncos inked an exclusive promotional deal with DraftKings, the largest fantasy sports site.

We must adjust to new information every day and not let our perceived notions and biases dictate our plays/investments. That’s anemic. For now, we need to adjust our view of the Dallas run defense and stop targeting them in fantasy. However, even if a somewhat superior defense is playing on the road, or a league average offense, we’ll fade them for a lesser squad playing a poor offense at home.

But dammit, we have something to prove. The Titans give the veteran a shot at redemption, and I see him cashing in on it. You can get on board for 4,500 units. This totaled 26 standard league points. Although it wasn’t #RevisIsland for Andre, he still looked very old last week, getting absolutely no separation.

Seriously, who could have predicted Taylor would be better than guys like Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford?

Steve Smith, Sr. He posted 20 DFS points in Week 2, reeling in 10 balls for 150 yards.

Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (vs. BUF) – He’s banged up, so he may not even play. Get this: opponents have thrown the ball 47 times against this Bears’ defense this year, with seven of those passes going for touchdowns. The NFL’s reigning rushing leader is bound to get the ship headed in the right direction after rushing for 11 yards on 21 carries through two weeks. That’s another one for SportsGrid. Unfortunately, Tony Romo injured his shoulder and Dunbar wasn’t the stud we expected.

Legally, Lee is right, but he misses a key point when it comes to his home life, specifically that it’s gambling “if she says it is”. 3 points was close enough to give ESPN the win here. His production was slightly better than in Week 1, and he finished with 8.3 points on FanDuel. It was still a win and that’s what matters. DraftKings awards a point per reception.

This pick is more an indictment on how low Yahoo projections are in general. You’ll recall that he had a fling with fantasy relevance back in 2013 when he put up a two-touchdown game against the Buccaneers, but it didn’t have any lasting power. With QB Derek Carr back in action he snapped back with 65 rushing yards and a touchdown, while also adding 22 yards on three receptions in Week 2 at Baltimore.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten: He has numerous injuries and I can see the defense focusing on him this week. Yahoo should feel silly for projecting him for just 13. We’ll get into that in a bit. Johnny Football, we hardly knew ye. He also has excellent foot-point potential, and the more he drops back, the more times he might decide to take off. Sure, starting rookie quarterbacks can be risky, but this kid seems like a very cool customer.

Moncrief is THE MAN in the Colts wide receiving corps. There’s no doubt that Parker was one of the most talented receivers in the draft, and he likely would have gone even higher if not for a foot injury he suffered during his senior season at Louisville. Except none of this has happened. Landry is not. He has snagged eight receptions in each of his first two games, and he blew up for 110 yards last weekend in Jacksonville. In a game where a pushover KC D should get blitzed vertically, Richard is a good bet to splash pay-dirt for the second straight week. The Bills defense has had a few mixed results through two games. For a second round pick you were thrilled to pick, this is an abomination. That would probably be an overreaction, but after he was unable to practice all week, it is more than fair to wonder if Murray is going to be able to do much in Week 3. But the best leagues also include the inverse – cellar-dwellers are punished, most commonly in the form of embarrassment or ridicule at their bad team.

At face value, this projection seems fair.

Yeah, it’s a boatload of coin, but with it you get the league’s best quarterback going against a defense that has been giving up passing yards and touchdowns through the first two games.

The St. Louis Rams have allowed a ton of rush yards. Now that Minnesota has seen the recipe for the success look for the coaches to use Peterson like they did in Week 2. Palmer has a favorable matchup this week, going up against the 49ers defense were was embarrassed by Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend.
