Henry: Pedro Will Be A Better Signing Than Di Maria

Barcelona will reportedly not allow Pedro to join Manchester United until Neymar returns to full health.

The absence of Neymar paired with Arda Turan, who is ineligible until January, leave Barcelona short of experienced forward-thinking midfielders to feed Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

Louis van Gaal is on the look-out for another creative attacker after selling Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday and United have been strongly linked with a move for Pedro in recent weeks.

Angel Di Maria poses in front of the Eiffel Tower with his PSG shirt “No one was better at applying pressure from out wide”.

Henry was at the Nou Camp during Pedro’s breakthrough season under Pep Guardiola in 2009-10, and the former Arsenal striker believes the Spain worldwide has the attributes to succeed where Di Maria failed.

“He was the ideal team-mate for me at Barcelona because his understanding of wing play was second to none”. It is a position that is in his DNA.

Pedro has found regular first team football hard to come by, especially with the star-studded attacking trio that Barcelona have at their disposal.

All done: “is Manchester United!”

“Pedro knows those tactics, he can do what Van Gaal wants”.

Henry believes that Pedro, who has a £22m release clause in his contract, would provide Van Gaal’s side with discipline, whilst providing greater depth to the Dutchman’s squad.

Henry also warned Van Gaal that he can not afford a slow start like last year and his team must hit the ground running.

“They will understand his requirements straight away and immediately do what is asked of them”.

Pedro did however, score six goals for the Catalan club successfully converting 19.4% of his chances, as well as creating 25 chances last term.
