LEGO reveals first official look at its ‘Doctor Who’ playset

For those wondering about the status of the upcoming “Doctor Who” Lego set, it seems that it will officially arrive soon: the Doctor Who Facebook account just released the first official photo of the set.

This isn’t the only LEGO based adventure the Doctor and the TARDIS will be embarking on in the near future.

Featuring an opening TARDIS, detachable interior console room, exclusive graphic details and steps, fans can regenerate the Doctor and defeat the evil Daleks or Weeping Angels with the help of his extraordinary companion Clara.

Complete with time rotor and telepathic circuits (the pink panel, as used in series eight episode Listen), here’s the time machine from the inside.

Fans will be able to get their hands on the LEGO console room from December 1. He also allows for various Doctors and companions. Plus Clara’s Lego outfit looks remarkably similar…

The Doctor Who Lego set doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, but judging by Sunday’s Facebook post it can’t be too far away.

It was a good move to include this in the set because as has learnt during Under The Lake, a few Doctor Who fans really want Peter Capaldi’s Doctor to be reunited with his screwdriver… Those that get 10,000 votes have the opportunity, if selected, to see their sets made into real-world items and sold as part of the plastic brick’s product line.
