Miss Piggy issued a statement that reads “after careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling” she and Kermit have finally “made the hard decision to terminate their romantic relationship”. We will continue to work together on television (“The Muppets” Tuesdays 8/7c this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe.

“We are very appreciative of Kermit that we’ve got unprecedented access to what’s been going on in the personal lives of the characters and Kermit’s situation with Miss Piggy“, Prady said.

The tweet says that they will be “seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al”. The statements end with, “This is our only comment on this private matter”. “Thank you for your understanding”.
