NASCAR driver Mike Wallace attacked after Charlotte concert

Longtime NASCAR driver Mike Wallace was hospitalized late Friday night after three men allegedly assaulted him following a Rascal Flatts concert in Charlotte, according to Wallace’s brother Kenny, a FOX NASCAR analyst.

Wallace said three men he had never met punched and kicked him and also attacked his daughter Lindsey.

While Wallace, 57, was unconscious, he apparently received several kicks to the face, which caused his daughter, Lindsey Wallace Van Wingerdenon, to throw herself on top of him to try and block the blows, resulting in her being kicked in the ribs. Mike received 12 stitches inside of the mouth and was released from the hospital, according to FOX Sports. The three men were identified as 22-year-old Nathan Lucas from Indian Trail; 29-year-old Paul Lucas; and 24-year-old Randolph Mangum, both from Monroe.

Mike Wallace and his daughter were apparently leaving the concert when Kenny Wallace claims that his brother struck up a conversation with a stranger who appeared to be intoxicated.

The men were all arrested but let out on bond.

Kenny uploaded photos of the gruesome incident to Twitter and Facebook. This is what I looked like after I was knocked out and crap beat out of me. The ambulance driver took this picture we were just suppose to have a fun night.

Whats worse is three of guys that beat my family up were arrested and out of jail before we were out of the hospital.

I’ve talked to Mike this morning. Wallace is the brother of popular NASCAR personality Kenny Wallace.

Even so, since the attack, the Yelp page for Lucas Landscaping has been overwhelmed with negative comments.

Mike, who said he suffered a concussion, said on Facebook that he has doctor and dentist appointments scheduled for Monday.

Mike Wallace, the brother of NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, has 197 starts in the Sprint Cup Series over his career.

The three suspects are scheduled to appear in court on July 22.
