One Direction ‘disband’ rumours: Take That, Westlife and NSync fans show

But One Direction’s first official hiatus did come much earlier than, say, that of New Kids on the Block – who went ten years before announcing their split.

“Since when does a “little break” mean split up completely omfg the media is so desperate for attention #OneDirection”, Jazmine tweeted.

When they contacted the man who sold them the tickets, the teens said they received a service text in response saying the phone could not receive their message. “We got this #OneDirection”, Courtney is Louis AF added.

“IS THIS #OneDirection STUFF REAL CAUSE IF IT IS IM GONNA CRY”, jess/pcd/10 said.

Having formed in the 2010 series of the X Factor, the four-piece are said to have made around £25 million each in the five years they’ve been together as a band.

Women whose teen hearts were broken over the Take That split, the end of Westlife and the crumbling of Blue are coming out on Twitter to offer words of advice and support.

“12-year-old daughter: I’m so over One Direction, they’re all really old, like 30”.

Sources have told the entertainment news outlets that the pop stars will go their separate directions to pursue different projects for “at least” a year, starting in March of 2016. “There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision”, a source told the British paper.
