Pedro denies reports he wants to leave Barcelona

The Manchester United target, Pedro, denied claims that he wants to leave Barcelona after scoring the winning goal in the thrilling European Super Cup victory over Sevilla on Tuesday night.

But when questioned on his situation after the match, Pedro rebuked Fernandez for commenting publicly and insisted that his feelings are more complicated than simply wanting to leave Camp Nou. It is not down to money as has been said and that is disrespectful.

Pedro added: “The truth is that I had a good chance to play, especially since what happened to Neymar, and it wasn’t to be”.

“I had a lot of anger at not being able to play this game but as I have always tried to be professional, go out and help”.

“The clause Pedro is not negotiable, but it may be his last game”. I certainly want him to stay. Robert Fernandez said something he doesn’t know. We made a great effort and we’re very satisfied. In the interview after the game Pedro said that this are tough times for him and that he need to settle everything in his head and bring the decision.

Pedro found himself on the periphery of boss Luis Enrique’s first team last season, behind 122-goal trio Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in the pecking order.

Messi was happy to see the Spain global fire in the winning goal against Sevilla, and was quoted saying by “He deserved it for everything he has given and continues to give to the club. I am grateful for all of the experiences I have had at the club and for the fans”, he concluded.

In an enthralling encounter, Emery’s side went down 5-4 after Pedro scored a 115th-minute victor in Tbilisi.

“I know who I am and I will always be of Barca”.

“The coach and myself and the president want him to stay”.

“We knew that this would be a hard game and this really showed the merit of the team”.

“I understand why you’re interested in this matter but I’m not going to say any more about it”.
