Sammy Watkins leaves game with calf injury

Miller left due to a groin injury. “I loved coming here (to coach Buffalo) because I knew he was on the team, but it’s like, golly let’s get him healthy and get him to where he can be Sammy Watkins”. Watkins didn’t do much this spring.


After setting the Bills rookie receiving records a year ago with 65 catches for 982 yards and six touchdowns, Watkins was off to a slow start this season.


Watkins had one catch for 39 yards before exiting the game. The Bills are trying to break in a new quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, who has looked the part of a starting quarterback to this point. Miami is supposed to have one of the best defenses in the National Football League, but it has been torn apart by the Bills in the Dolphins’ home opener.
