Olympic diver Tom Daley and Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black have announced that they are now engaged, though they’re not rushing to have a ceremony any time soon. They were propped up against an crucial background-their discreet engagement announcement from the birth, marriages, and death section of the The Times’ Thursday edition.
“Daley posted an image of the couple’s wedding rings to Instagram, with the caption, “#HeSaidYES [ring emoji] and then #ISaidYES Thanks for all the lovely messages!” “Dream come true”, Black captioned the black and white photo.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Debbie said: “There is an age gap, 20 years, but then again age is but a number“. Daley competed in 2008 Olympians when he was only 14 years old; he was also one of the youngest British Olympic contenders.
The Splash! host’s mother, Debbie Daley, told the Plymouth Herald yesterday: “I am not sad because in losing Tom, I am gaining another, so it makes everything all good”. “We are all looking forward to it. The rest of the family really like Lance”.
Debbie also said that the family has taken a shine to Dustin, 41, who she refers to as “Lance”, and described him as a “very likeable person that gets along with everybody”. “It gave me the hope one day I could live my life openly as who I am and that maybe even I could fall in love and one day get married”.
