Now all that’s left to wonder about is whether Miranda will grow his hair back out for his promised, eventual return to the role of Hamilton.

“Teach ’em how to say goodbye…” he captioned the picture.

Luz Towns-Miranda, Lin-Manuel’s mother, told FNL that the audience at Saturday night’s show was “beside themselves” watching her son and that it was clear the cast was enjoying themselves on stage.

PEOPLE reporter Dave Quinn also posted photos of Miranda’s post-Hamilton look on Instagram. The trio originated the roles off-Broadway at the Public Theater in January 2015; their departure marked a breakup of the original cast, who together won a Grammy Award for best musical theater album and a Tony for best musical.

Miranda is one of the four actors that had their final performances last night.

Miranda is a history-making musical theater writer and actor who is the mastermind behind the biggest Broadway hit in years: Hamilton. Munoz officially takes over the Alexander Hamilton role on July 11.

Despite leaving the musical production, none of the stars will be leaving the limelight for long. He composed the score to the new Disney animated musical Moana, out in November, and will soon begin filming the live-action Mary Poppins sequel alongside Emily Blunt. Miranda will appear on Today on Monday, to perform his new charity single benefitting Orlando victims with Jennifer Lopez. Hamilton will debut in Chicago in an open-ended production in September, with other productions opening in San Francisco and London within the next year.
