Top Clinton aide at State Dept. helped Clinton Foundation

U.S. Rep. Mike Capuano this morning vehemently defended Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton amid a brouhaha over the release of emails suggesting donors to the Clinton Foundation sought special access to the State Department while she was secretary of state.

Mrs Clinton’s legal team turned over more than 30,000 emails from her server to the State Department last March, but only after deleting another 30,000 messages that the legal team deemed private and personal.

A CNN investigation found that Clinton aide Cheryl Mills was involved in the Clinton Foudnation while she was also employed as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State. To which Abedin replied: “We have all had him on our radar” and “Personnel has been sending him options”.

And just at that time, in 2012, she would have conducted job interviews for senior positions for the Clinton Foundation, another illustration of the close links between the Department of State and the Clinton Foundation.

“Clinton’s top aides’ favors for and interactions with the Clinton Foundation seem in violation of the ethics agreements that Hillary Clinton agreed to in order to be appointed and confirmed as secretary of state”, it said. Hillary Clinton has struggled to provide consistent and convincing answers about her email practices during her tenure as Secretary of state what I did was the lead. one first and foremost rally it was allowed and the rules of them clarified since I’ve laughed about. the practice I made my day.

That hasn’t stopped the Trump campaign from having fun with the emails’ revelations and CNN’s reporting that the Justice Department had declined to investigate the Clinton Foundation.

In another email, Band tried to land a job for a Clinton Foundation
associate.

Texas Senator John Cornyn on Friday sent a letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch demanding answers about reports the Justice Department blocked an Federal Bureau of Investigation request to investigate the Clinton Foundation.

The State Department again denied there was a conflict of interest and said a trip Mills took to NY to conduct business for the Clinton Foundation complied with ethics laws. Mills’ attorney says she was, doing “volunteer work for a charitable foundation”.

Donald Trump said something irresponsible and stupid the other day. And I have to say, I mean, how stupid do they think we are?

The Clinton campaign is trying to shrug the whole thing off by claiming that Band was simply acting in his capacity as a former personal assistant to Bill Clinton and not in his role with the foundation.

Many critics interpreted those comments as a threat of violence against Clinton, and a Secret Service official told CNN Wednesday that the agency has spoken with the Trump campaign about the remarks.
